CAMPGROUND LIST AND LINKS BELOW.

The western most ranger district in the Apache-Sitgreaves Nat’l Forest.  Located only 2 and a half hours from Phoenix.

See target shooting guidelines.  Links below are provided for USDA Forest Service information and when available the direct link to reservations for each site at Reservations.gov.  Information added to below descriptions as an ongoing project.

Black Canyon Rim Campground. Reserve at Recreation.gov

Canyon Point Campground.  Reserve at Recreation.gov 106 sites, 32 with electricity.  MH up to 75 feet.  Hiking trails to sinkhole and edge of Mogollon Rim.  Approximately 5 miles from Willow Springs Lake which offers boating and fishing.  HEAVY RAIN JULY THROUGH AUGUST.

Chevelon Canyon Lake Campground.  6800′.  FREE Camping.  1st Come, 1st Serve.

Chevelon Crossing Campground. 6300′.  FREE Camping.  1st Come, 1st Serve.

Gentry Campground. Reserve at Recreation.gov.  This campground consists of 5 individual campsites or they can be reserved as one group campground for up to 75 persons.

Promontory Pit Road Campground. Dispersed FREE Camping.

Aspen Campground. Reserve at Recreation.gov One of 7 sites in the Rim Lakes Recreation area.  27 sites are first come.

Crook Campground. Reserve at Recreation.gov. Group Campground.

Magollon Campground.  26 sites, numbers 14-26 can be reserved at Recreation.gov.

Rim Campground. Reserve at Recreation.gov.  Group Campground.

Spillway Campground. Reserve at Recreation.gov

 

Woods Canyon Group Campground. Reserve at Recreation.gov
