Cache La Poudre River is named after an area that became a cache for gun powder left behind by French Furtrappers who were forced to lighten their load during a snowstorm in the 1820’s. The area has several small campsites and the terrain can vary from season to season due to how well it faired during the fire season.
This campsite gets its name from the mountain area so named due to the obvious outline.
We’ll be adding additional campsite information for this
area shortly as these pages are currently being worked on (note: 7/7/2017).
