Preheat Oven 400 Degrees while preparing dish, a minimum of 10 Minutes.
Turn Oven to 350 Degrees at time of placing Asparagus into oven.
Cook Casserole Dish of Ingredients (See Below) to your preference, stirring every five minutes.
Cooking time can be adjusted to less or more depending upon preferance so test for doneness at stages and note your preference time. Start with 20 minutes for relatively thin stalks.
Recipe: Garlic Parmesean Oven Asparagus
Avocado Oil or other high temperature oil of your preference
2 Cloves Garlic Minced As Tiny As Possible (Try Knife Followed By Fork)
Sprinkling of Cracked Red Pepper
Sprinkling of Italian Seasoning
1-2 Tablespoons Butter
Parmesean Cheese (not pre-shredded), About a 1” by 4” slice chopped fine.
Wash and cut off woody parts of an Asparagus bunch. Cut into lengths about 2.5 to 3 inches each. Pat dry and place into oven proof casserole dish.
Add all of the Ingredients listed and stir well.
Place into preheated 400 dgree oven and turn temperature down to 350 degrees.
Stir every five minutes to mix flavors.
- For crispy cheesy decadence cook above to just before done. Drain excess oils and place on cookie sheet. Add extra cheese and broil until cheese is melted.
- Adjust spices to your preference. Kick it up with a dash of chili powder or try Rosemary and Thyme or a few of countless other herbs and spices available. Consider setting aside a small amount of asparagus from every batch and using different spices in a small dish to see how you like them. Cook both dishes at the same time and be sure to write down what changes you made and what ingredients you used. Keep paper and pad handy when baking. Print out a copy of the recipe and make notes on the copy.
